Creative Methods to Neat and Store Your Bracelets

Regardless of what cost you compensated, every necklace inside your bridal jewelry sets collection must be saved inside a safe manner. It might be creative to throw your bracelets inside a large bowl in your dresser, but it is a sure method to invite knots and knots. After some creativeness and know-how, you can preserve your bracelets searching great for many years.

If this involves the guidelines of storage, separate is better. This means that compartments, gift boxes, cleaning soap dishes, etc., could keep your jewelry from touching one another. In the end, some metals and gemstones are harder than the others. You wouldn't want your jewelry touching much softer surfaces and itching it.

Most traditional jewelry boxes include several drawers and compartments. Rely on them all to split up your collection. When you get a bigger jewellery box just like a free standing jewellery armoire it'll most likely have doorways that swing available to reveal hooks on which you'll hang your bracelets. That's among the best methods to store bracelets especially chains that may increase to 22 inches lengthy.

Without having an armoire, you will find simple fixes, beginning with something as fundamental like a window screen that you simply hold on your wall. Affix small hooks towards the top of the screen so that you can hang your bracelets individually. Or screw cup hooks right into a portion of the wall and hang up your bracelets in it one necklace per hook.

If you would like an alternative choice, use dishes or gift boxes that you are collected to keep your bracelets. If it's one that you'll put on frequently, place it inside a cleaning soap dish and then leave it in your dresser. Whether it's one you do not put on very frequently, pack it inside a gift box and set a label around the box top explaining what's inside. This way, whenever you open a dresser drawer and you are confronted with twelve approximately boxes, you will not need to open these to obtain the one you would like.

If this involves cleaning your bracelets, the procedure varies by the kind of materials within the necklace.

Gold

For those who have an easy gold necklace that is soiled with put on or perhaps a thick gold chain the operation is exactly the same. Soak the necklace for fifteen minutes inside a simple solution made from a couple of drops of dish-washing liquid with two glasses of tepid to warm water. Make use of a soft-bristle toothbrush to lightly rub over the links. Rinse it under clean, tepid to warm water and dry it having a soft cloth, just like an old towel.
Gemstone

In case your necklace features gemstone use a combination of a mug of tepid to warm water having a quarter cup of ammonia. Soak your necklace within this mixture for around twenty minutes. Again, make use of a soft toothbrush to wash the configurations, chains and also the gemstones. Rinse the necklace in clean, tepid to warm water by leaving the gemstone necklaces to air dry.

Silver

Among the best ways to look after silver bracelets would be to wipe them lower weekly having a silver sprucing up cloth. Turn it into a weekly ritual to wipe lower all your silver jewelry after which you don't have to try silver polishes. But when it's past too far and you have an accumulation of badly damaged silver bracelets, invest is really a silver dip or silver polish. When the necklace comes with an intricate design, you may want to use silver paste along with a soft clean rag. Don't use your fingers on silver as it can certainly scratch the soft silver surface.

Pearls

Pearl necklaces can't withstand the severity of skin cleansers accustomed to clean other gems. Rather, make a combination of two cups tepid to warm water along with a couple of drops of liquid cleaning soap. Dip a gentle flannel in to the mixture, wring it therefore it does not get too wet, after which rub each gem individually. Never let a strand of pearls soak because this might cause the necklace to stretch. Allow the necklace air dry.

Do-it-yourself

You will find some safe common household items you can use to securely clean your bracelets.

Aluminum foil

This method uses a compound process known as ion exchange. Simply line a little bowl with aluminum foil after which fill the bowl with warm water and something tablespoon of bleach-free powdered laundry soap. Enable your necklace absorb the bowl for just one minute after which rinse it and allow it to air dry.

Ammonia

Use ammonia to create a great and affordable jewellery cleaner. Mix one half cup of obvious ammonia with single serving of tepid to warm water. Enable your necklace absorb the mix for ten minutes. Make use of a soft cloth to wipe it neat and then allow it to dry. Don't use ammonia on pearls since it can harm their soft surface.

After some imagination, you can preserve your bracelets neat and safe for many years.

They also posted an image of the five-tier white wedding cake which was decorated with gold trim, an 'M' for McCarron, and pink roses.

Guests were treated to a four course meal, starting with caviar and toasted brioche rounds, followed by a Hydro Bibb lettuce roll with goat cheese, candied pecans and strawberry vinaigrette.

Tables were elaborately decorated with blush pink and glittering gold tablecloths and lined with white flowers, while a band played on stage and low-hung chandeliers were scattered around the room.

Katherine's friend and fellow beauty queen Miss Georgia USA 2012 Jasmyn 'Jazz' Wilkins shared an Instagram collage from the reception, which included the spread, cake and a photo of herself with some guests.

The 25-year-old bride has changed her name on Twitter to Katherine McCarron following the wedding, which E! News reports took place at the Orange Beach United Methodist Church in Alabama.

The website states that the former Miss Alabama USA also wore a custom wedding dress for the ceremony, and her father Alan walked her down the aisle.

Their wedding and rehearsal dinner on Friday night were reported to have been attended by both local and federal law enforcement.

The Yacht Club and surrounding area were said to be completely restricted and law enforcement has been seen providing a perimeter.

Meanwhile, Katherine made no mention of the law enforcement protection as she excitedly shared a snap of their wedding rings on Friday night in anticipation of the celebration.

Katherine's engagement ring, however, also got it's fair share of attention. When it came to proposing to the love of his life, AJ, 23, pulled out all the stops.

The football player presented his now-wife with a dazzling diamond engagement ring that was no ordinary store-bought sparkler.

He collaborated with David Shara, the president of Optimum Diamonds, to create a truly one-of-a-kind dream ring no girl could turn down.

Katherine was crowned Miss Alabama USA 2012 and was catapulted to instant fame after being picked up by the TV cameras while cheering on AJ at a game early last year.

Jessica Simpson Had Mismatched Bridesmaid Dresses at Her Wedding!

Jessica Simpson went with the mismatched trend for her 12 bridesmaid and two maid of honor dresses for her July 5 wedding, and we're pretty obsessed with the outcome!

More from The Knot: Bridesmaids Gone Wild Stories

"I didn't really have a theme per se, but I did know I wanted it to look ethereal… I personally can't have all of my girls in the same dress," Jessica told People. So her bridal party's look was "a little bit angelic, but of course with rhinestones!"

One of her bridesmaids, Nicole Chavez, is also her stylist, so that came in handy for pulling 14 different couture gowns from Marchesa, Jason Wu, Temperley, Carmen Marc Valvo and Carolina Herrera, who made Jessica's wedding dress and her daughter Maxwell's flower girl dress. (We're also loving sister Ashlee Simpson's boho side braid and ethereal blue dress - very Elsa in Frozen.)

More from The Knot: How To Make The Perfect Wedding Guest List

And even though Jessica and her husband, Eric Johnson, skipped their first dance and cutting the cake, their 200-plus guests enjoyed every minute of their reception (planned by Mindy Weiss), including a seven-person Motown band; a four-course meal of crab cakes, short ribs and sea bass; a glamorous Great Expectations theme; and an after-party (which Jess changed into a sparkly blue Zuhair Murad mini-dress for) with sliders, grilled cheese and fries.

Lady Gaga Went Shopping For Wedding Dresses

lady-gaga-wedding-dress-shopping

Things might be getting pretty serious between Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney... Like marriage-serious.

Just a few months ago Kinney was reportedly looking into engagement rings, and just this past weekend, the Mother Monster was spotted shopping for wedding dresses!

But could it be? Are wedding bells ringing in Gaga's near future?

Not exactly...

While the pop star did indeed bring her mother and new puppy Asia to a Toronto couture wedding store on Sunday to shop for some wedding gowns, they weren't for walking down the aisle... Or at least she didn't say they were.

Rather, it appears the "Born This Way" crooner was shopping for her collection of vintage clothing and accessories.

"Lady Gaga came into our store...A friend recommended her to come in. She was with her mum, two assistants and two bodyguards," a rep for the store told E! News. "She bought two rolling racks full of vintage clothes and accessories. She bought robes, gowns, hats, jewelry. Some of the designer brands she bought were Dior and Balenciaga. She also bought 1920s and 1930s vintage."

The owner of the store added, "Lady Gaga is very artistic and yes she bought some white dresses in the bridal section.  However, she never mentioned it was for a wedding or anything."

Not to mention, Gaga wasn't sporting a rock on that finger either.

Looks like we'll all just have to wait a little longer (But Taylor, can you HURRY UP already?!).

Jessica Simpson is officially married

Jessica Simpson was a "beautiful golden girl" on her wedding day.

The 33-year-old star married former NFL star Eric Johnson in front of 250 guests, including her sister, Ashlee Simpson, actress Jessica Alba and former That 70s Show star Topher Grace, at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California on July 5, after teaming up with Carolina Herrera to create her dream dress.

Speaking about the "sumptuous champagne and gold strapless multi-layer tulle gown," the fashion designer told PEOPLE.com: "The whole dress is embroidered in gold and feels very regal."

She added it was her goal to transform the blonde beauty, who also wore a cathedral length veil, Brian Atwood shoes and Neil Lane jewellery for her special day, into a "beautiful golden girl."

The duo met at Vanity Fair's Oscars afterparty in Los Angeles in 2010, and Carolina stitched a blue ribbon on the inside of the gown for Jessica's something blue.

She said: "I always do that because I think it brings good luck."

The With You hitmaker, who has daughter Maxwell, two, and son Ace, 12 months, with Eric and was previously married to Nick Lachey until 2006, was expected to wear a non-traditional dress for her second stint down the aisle.

A source close to the Weight Watchers spokesperson recently told OK! magazine: "One of her biggest weight-loss motivators has been looking great in her wedding dress. She's actually helped design it, and one thing is for sure: It will not be traditional! Though Ashlee tends to be the edgy one and Jessica usually hews more to her Southern roots, she wants to surprise everyone with something entirely different this time around.

"It's not going to be white, for starters. It's going to be elegant and sophisticated but very fitted to show of Jessica's brilliant body!"

Another source told E! news that on Friday morning, July 4, two huge party rental trucks, several white tents and about 50 flower arrangements containing hundreds of white blossoms were seen near the ranch's villas, which are rented to guests. Red, white and blue decor was seen as well (see photo below and also check out more pics).

This will mark the second marriage for Simpson, who was married to Nick Lachey for three years.

Many celebrities have gotten married at San Ysidro Ranch, which is located about five miles from Santa Barbara, in Southern California's wine country.

The list includes Melissa Etheridge and partner Linda Wallem, who wed on May 30, Gwyneth Paltrow and (now estranged husband) Chris Martin, Ricki Lake and Christian Evans, singer Beck and Marissa Ribisi and Little House on the Prairie alum Melissa Gilbert and Timothy Busfield.

Thousands of female graduates across China ditch the mortar board for wedding dresses

Many are now doing away with the traditional mortar board

A new craze across China has seen female university graduates do away with the traditional graduation caps for, of all things, wedding dresses.

Unlike Britain, where ingrained traditions of tearful parents, gowned lecturers and celebrity speakers  are all part of graduation day, in China there are fewer set in stone traditions and this has given birth to new ideas and rituals, including the wearing of wedding dresses.

During this summer’s graduation ceremonies, more and more of China’s female graduates have been adorning white gowns and tiaras to pose for the all-important graduation photo.

According to Liu Xiangping a student from Xi'an Polytechnic University in central China "That dress makes things feel more meaningful."

Liu, who along with her classmates and thousands of other female graduates rent their gowns for up to and above $7 dollars a day to wear during their graduation.

With parents generally not attending, the importance of the graduation photo with classmates has become the most important aspect of the day, with those groups that have spent year’s together seeing their final pictures as the reward for their achievement.

Zang Xuehui, a 24-year-old senior at the Northeast Forestery University in Harbin pooled money together with five roommates to hire a photographer to shoot their graduation pictures. In total it cost the friends, who had lived together ever since their first year, the equivalent of $16 for three hours to take their photos.

She says that to graduate from university is something “full of significance” and believes that the wedding dresses and photos are a “unique way of celebrating this” with friends.

Nevertheless, it is not only wedding dresses that have become customary attire for Chinese graduates. Other interesting outfits worn by graduates for their final photos have included students dressed up as pirates and builders, while other classes have seen students wearing Qing dynasty attire.

Despite the students believing that the wearing of wedding dresses for graduation is all in the name of fun, Lu Xiaowen, deputy director of the Institute of Sociology at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, believes the decision to wear a wedding dress has a more symbolic meaning.

For Lu she believes that wearing wedding dresses and other special outfits during graduation shows the last expression of creativity by Chinese students.

She believes that with massive competition facing grads for jobs, the decision to wear wedding dresses is seen as the final manifestation of freedom before entering the working world.

Real Girl Road-Test: How to Buy a Wedding Dress

So, you have a shiny rock on your finger, and a wedding to plan. . . What next? Finding the perfect wedding gown is no easy feat, and it will probably be the most important dress you ever wear. But don't sweat it, we spoke to an expert to find out exactly what's involved in designing your dream wedding dress.

If anyone knows the process inside and out, it's Pallas Couture Sydney company director and style director, Rebecca Burrow. Known for their red carpet gowns and beautiful bridal looks, Pallas Couture counts Teresa Palmer and Tahyna Tozzi as bridal clients, and has dressed everyone from Anna Heinrich and Cheyenne Tozzi to Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Lisa Wilkinson for Australia's biggest red carpet events. So basically, this lady knows special occasion style.

I stepped into the wedding wonderland that is Pallas Couture's Sydney boutique to chat with Rebecca about what's exactly involved in picking a bridal gown, the latest wedding trends, and, if I'm totally honest, to look at all the pretty dresses. This is what I discovered.

When looking to have a wedding dress made, the process is probably going to begin with a phone call to your short-list of wedding dress designers. Here, you can go over all the basics, like timeframe, budget, and the general look you are going for.

"I’ll go into an in-depth conversation with them for that initial phone call, and then we will have the bride come in for an appointment," Rebecca said.

To be perfectly honest, the Pallas Couture boutique in Paddington, Sydney, is completely beautiful, and a little bit overwhelming. It's literally brimming with bridal gowns — so go in with an idea of what you're after. Then, they will work with you to find the perfect shape and silhouette you want.

"The first appointment is like a meet and greet and we will get our brides to try on two gowns. We’ll work off shape, because all of our gowns can be customised. We get a bit of a feeling about what shape the bride is looking for and to make sure the bride loves the Pallas Couture look," Rebecca explained.

Rebecca added that wedding style was being heavily influenced by fashion trends at the moment, saying, "We have found there is actually a huge fashion influence. Brides don’t want just your traditional wedding dress anymore. We are finding beautiful blushes, natural colours and greys are trending."

Appointment two is much more in-depth. Here, you will really nut out the design of your dress, and spend a lot of time trying on gowns, just like the movie montages in your favourite rom-coms. If you go with Pallas Couture in Sydney, you'll be met with the lovely Rebecca Burrow, who will help bring your dress dreams to fruition.

"From the first appointment, if they love what we have, we offer a lovely long second appointment. At that second appointment appointment we have time to try on a lot of other lace wedding dress, and finalise the design of the dress," Rebecca said.

Fact: you will get giddy over trying these gowns on, guarunteed. You will be asked to strip off to your underwear (no bra) in the change room and put on a pair of heels from those available — or, you could bring your own if you know what you will be wearing on the big day. If you are wearing makeup at the time, you'll be asked to put on a face mask to protect the dress, which is kind of like the hair masks you wear to get a spray tan. Someone will then come in and help you into the dress.

The key when having a gown customised is to work far in advance, Rebecca explained, "The brides usually order their dresses a year to eight months before the wedding. There is a bit of a process that happens."

You will have about five fittings: measurements, the calico fitting, back seam and hem fitting, and the final dress rehearsal.

"There may be another fitting just depending, but generally there’s around that five. It’s a really lovely process that we nurture the bride through right from the beginning through to the end," she explained.

If you're planning on losing weight before the big day, Rebecca says your dressmaker should factor this in, "If a bride is losing weight for the wedding, we often tell them the date when they need to maintain their dress size, and they’re pretty good with not moving from there."

Probably not something you've thought of yet, but it's key to plan ahead which shoes you will be wearing on your wedding day, so the dress length can be adjusted accordingly.

"Generally we need the shoes for the back seam and hem fitting. So that’s around the third fitting in, and about three months before the wedding. Brides might also choose the shoes right from the beginning, and we'll factor them in from then on," Rebecca said.

Lady Gaga Can't Stop Wearing Wedding Dresses

We gotta hand it to her: Lady Gaga doesn't always dress in the most ~seasonally appropriate~ manner, but at least the bridal attire she was casually wearing to take a stroll around Montreal made sense—it is wedding season, after all.

Gaga put on her wedding day finest for a surprise performance with Tony Bennett at the Montreal Jazz Festival, where they performed a few songs off of their upcoming album, Cheek to Cheek. Like anyone else, Gaga appeared to have asked herself, "What shall I wear to duet with a legendary 87-year-old crooner?" And the answer was quite obviously wedding dresses online. And a floor-length tulle veil. And a crystal tiara. Obviously.

This isn't the first time Lady Gaga has stepped out in a wedding dress without an aisle to walk down—here she is last month with a bouquet and all—and it surely won't be the last. I can only imagine what she'll wear to her actual wedding. Maybe, like, a robe?

Women Graduates Spurn Cap and Gown for Wedding Dresses In China

BEIJING—On an overcast June day, 20 women in white gowns stood in a row on a grassy field. They had spent the morning fussing with one another's hair and makeup, and now, for the big moment, smiled into the camera.

But this was a graduation celebration, not a wedding.

Here in China, college women are spurning caps and gowns and choosing to commemorate their graduations in white tulle, instead.

"Who doesn't like wedding dresses online?" said Liu Xiangping, who was among those posing for graduation shots that day, along with nearly two dozen fellow classmates clad in white. (Their four male classmates wore suits.)

It isn't happening just at Xi'an Polytechnic University in central China, where Ms. Liu graduated this year with a degree in international economics and trade. Across China, graduation season looks a lot like wedding season, with young women flocking to stores to rent wedding gowns.

"The wedding dress makes things feel more meaningful," said Ms. Liu. She and her classmates rented their gowns, which came with full skirts and beaded or pleated bodices, for about $7 a day. Hundreds of other graduates have done the same, taking photos they upload to share with friends online. Some students pose with tiaras or bejeweled diadems, while others choose veils or lacy trains.

Graduation ceremonies here don't typically line up big-name speakers, and parents rarely attend. In the absence of ingrained customs, new, individualized rituals are being grafted onto drier, more perfunctory Chinese graduation festivities.

The graduates

The photo shoot has become one of those rituals, as graduates compete to express themselves playfully. Some have dressed up as pirates, while others have taken graduation photos dressed in Qing dynasty attire, or wearing hard hats and carrying tools. With stiff competition awaiting grads in the job market, Lu Xiaowen, deputy director of the Institute of Sociology at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, says they are enjoying a last burst of freedom and creativity.

The wedding dress "represents that our youth is fading," said Zhang Xuehui, a 24-year-old senior at Northeast Forestry University in the city of Harbin.

Ms. Zhang recently pooled money with five roommates to hire a fellow student to shoot their graduation photos. Together, the six girls posed at various campus spots at the cost of 100 yuan ($16) for three hours, plus gown rental of another 100 yuan each a day. The six of them, Ms. Zhang said, had lived together since their freshman year and wanted to say farewell in a unique way.

"To graduate from university is something full of significance," said Ms. Zhang, who said her group ran into three other bands of students wearing wedding dresses during their on-campus photo shoot.

Though three of her friends had boyfriends, she said, the latter—who didn't participate—had no objections to the shoot.

Others have a more practical view of the wedding dresses: "They make everyone look very beautiful," said Ms. Liu.

The gowns began making the leap beyond weddings years ago, with some girls starting to take pictures in them as a marker of friendship—so-called guimi or best-friend shots, in which close female friends wear identical clothing. Bridesmaid dresses uk stores and photo studios have gotten into the business, particularly to mark birthdays or other special occasions.

Amid China's increasingly creative graduation photos, the wedding-dress-as-graduation-gown theme is so ubiquitous that even some male students have gotten into the act, with several also taking joke shots clad in white with veils.

Other soon-to-be-minted bachelor of arts graduates seeking to dress up sans bachelors have found additional ways to inject novelty into wedding-style shoots, by using such props as fake mustaches or soccer balls. Others have tossed bouquets into the air.

Fan Xinxin, 23, who graduated this year from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, says that for graduates wanting to glam it up and take the more unusual wedding shot, her school has an advantage. "Our school has airplanes," said Ms. Fan, who has struck up a business with classmates renting different outfits to students who want to take graduation photos, including wedding dresses. To date, between 60 and 70 graduating students seeking wedding gowns have availed themselves of such services, she said, including several students who have posed while standing before her school's on-campus airplanes in full wedding regalia.

"The feeling of wearing white is very elegant, like a nymph," said Hu Fan, 22, of Hunan's Central South University of Forestry and Technology, who recently along with nearly two dozen classmates rented identical short white gowns to take graduation pictures. While traditionally in China, white is seen as a color for mourning—one associated with funerals and death—that attitude has rapidly changed, said Ms. Hu, though some old people in her small hometown in central Hunan, she said, still regard the color with prejudice.

"It's just about creating a memory," she said of her peers' fondness for wedding dresses as graduation garb. "After all, we all want to preserve images of our most beautiful selves."

Tip O’Neill’s granddaughter marries longtime girlfriend at Glen Echo Park

They’d been best friends for 12 years and in a relationship for nearly six, when Michaela O’Neill Daniel, the granddaughter of former House speaker Thomas P. “Tip” O’Neill, Jr., proposed to Lindsay Sariena Greene last October during an evening walk along the Hudson River in Manhattan. Still, Greene, who said the couple realized “this is my person” last year, was completely caught off guard.

Wait, even when Daniel pulled out her laptop and pressed play on a slide show of pictures charting the course of their relationship?

“Michaela always had her computer. She was working on a campaign at the time,” explained Greene, “So I didn’t think it was weird at all.” Daniel, once the senior education adviser for former New York City Council speaker and mayoral candidate Christine Quinn, is now working in Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration.

The last photo in the slideshow had an important caption: “Will you marry me?” and eight months later, the two Washingtonians (Daniel graduated from Walt Whitman High School and Greene from National Cathedral) tied the knot at Glen Echo Park in Maryland.

The more than 350 guests, including Debbie Dingel, Democratic congressional candidate and wife of Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.), were told to dress by wedding dresses online “festival casual” (that’s a new one, we think) for the carnival-themed, kid-friendly affair. The ceremony was held in a grassy area and most sat on the ground picnic-style. Both brides wore white–a Laundry by Shelli Segal summery frock for Daniel and a lacey Tadashi Shoji for Greene.

After the vows, which the couple wrote themselves, the crowd headed to the park’s historic 1921 carousel and the reception was held in the bumper car pavilion. And if this doesn’t already sound like the best wedding with cheap wedding dresses in the history of weddings, there was beer pong–and a temporary tattoo table.

“We did a Soul Train line,” said Susan O’Neill, Michaela’s mother, who danced down the two-step tunnel with Deborah Greene, Lindsay’s mother. “It was spectacular in every sense of the word.”

The couple, both 32, graduated with honors from Harvard (Daniel “magna cum laude” and Greene “cum laude”) and both attended the Yale School of Management. What’s next, dual Nobel Peace prizes? They will be keeping their names and will return to their home in Manhattan after a honeymoon in Hawaii.

The Best Celebrity Wedding Dresses Of All Time

The moment when a bride reveals herself to the guests in her church, temple, hip museum venue, or backyard, there is always a beautiful and inimitable gasp. While the bride and the marriage itself are why everyone finds themselves tearing up, there is always a specific element that leads to a great deal of excitement, too: the wedding dress. And who does wedding dresses online quite as well as the rich, famous and heavily-styled? Naturally, we’re talking about celebrities and their elegant, custom and often over-the-top wedding dresses.

Celebrity wedding dress shops have a long tradition of being unique, in part because celebrities are often a little zany themselves and also because they’re so often starting from scratch to have designers create dresses for them specifically. The results are occasionally silly, but typically wind up being absolutely stunning and so very perfect for their bodies. While they may not be the type of gowns you can wear again after your wedding (unless you’re a celeb getting married like four times a decade), these are all beautiful in a way that only designer and couture gowns can be. So, which celebs have chosen the best ones?

Portia De Rossi

While Ellen Degeneres‘ white suit was excellently tailored, Portia’s dress was just impossible to stop staring at. She looks like a fairy princess.

Elizabeth Taylor

This beautiful silk down that Liz Taylor wore to her wedding to hotel heir Conrad “Nicky” Hilton proved once again that a perfectly-fitted dress with a wide neck and lace overlay is timeless.

 Kaley Cuoco

Remember this gem from the very beginning of the year? Despite Kaley’s occasionally rough red carpet style and Ryan Sweeting‘s bad couple tattoo, it is undeniable that she had one of the loveliest and cheap wedding dresses we’ve ever seen. And in such a beautifully unconventional color!

Audrey Hepburn

This Pierre Balmain dress was a wonderful choice for the actress to wear at her wedding to Mel Ferrer. A high collar, nipped in waist, tea-length hemline and garland atop her head make this one of the best (and most charming) wedding looks of all time.

Gwen Stefani

This dress that the No Doubt singer wore in her wedding to Gavin Rossdale is probably my favorite on this entire list. Gwen did ombre before ombre was remotely cool, let alone before it went pink, neon and all over the place. Her wedding dress…

The newborn daughter into the train of the wedding dress

A Tennessee bride has defended her curious decision to strap her newborn daughter into the train of her wedding dresses as she walked down the aisle, saying the baby was 'awake and well-secured' and that she was 'covered by Christ'.

Shona Carter-Brooks has been attacked online for the bizarre bridal party moment following her marriage to Johnathan Brooks in Ripley last month, with some commentators arguing she should be reported to child protection services。

The couple, who live in Jackson, just outside of Nashville, are believed to have only welcomed their little girl, Aubrey, one month before the ceremony。

Jill Duggar of TLC’s ’19 Kids & Counting’ bought her wedding dress in Fredericksburg

When Jill Duggar Dillard found her wedding dresses two months ago, she got the same experience any bride who shops at Ava Laurénne Bride in downtown Fredericksburg can get: the Princess Treatment.

Jill, who appears with her family on TLC’s “19 Kids & Counting” reality show, is the first daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar to tie the knot. The Duggars have 19 children whose names all start with J.

Jill wed Derick Dillard last weekend after a six-month courtship.

Two months ago, Jill and her family were in Fredericksburg to shop for a wedding dress.

Jill’s older brother, Josh, and his family live in Maryland, and they somehow heard about Ava Laurénne’s special treatment of brides.

Co-owner Wendy Rivera said Jill had a dress style in mind.

“She wanted something modest, but not frumpy,” Rivera said in an interview.

TLC likely will include footage from Jill’s dress shopping trip in an episode this fall, and the shop will appear in the wedding episode as well, but air dates have not been released by TLC.

Rivera said she can’t divulge too many details before the shows air.

Jill and other family members stayed at Josh’s house in Maryland and came down to Fredericksburg for the evening to shop.

The family spent about eight hours in town because of the alterations. Before they arrived at the store, they made a stop at Carl’s.

Jill, who is studying to be a midwife, has a midwife friend who lives in the Fredericksburg area. The friend told them they had to go to Carl’s—but forgot to mention the frozen custard stand’s cash-only policy.

They got cash and they all bought milkshakes, which they brought to the shop with them.

The TLC crew showed up about two hours before them to set up and when they came in, had two comments, Rivera said. The crew told her it was a beautiful shop, but small.

Ava Laurénne, which is in the Galleria on Caroline Street, opened in June 2012.

The shop’s Princess Treatment is a special service offered to brides about twice a month.

For a $500 fee, the bride and up to 15 guests have the shop to themselves after hours and get a spread of food, music and surprises throughout the appointment.

Rivera stressed that any bride can get the same treatment that Jill received.

“We do this for every princess bride and every princess treatment is different,” she said.

She said it wasn’t just done for Jill because TV cameras were there.

She also worked with local vendors—she was not allowed to say which ones, just yet—but emphasized that they are the same vendors she uses for anyone who wants the princess treatment.

“Every bride wants to have the experience of a lifetime,” she said. “That’s what we want.”

She added that she wanted Jill to feel special, as a bride.

“Because she’s on TV and cameras are with her a lot, I really wanted to kind of zone in and let her feel like a bride. Let her not be a reality TV star, but just be Jill,” Rivera said.

“If we are about anything at Ava Laurénne Bride, it’s about each individual bride. It’s really about the person, the bride herself, her life moment. We will do anything and everything to help our brides and make it feel perfect,” she said.

Because they had just a few months before the wedding to actually pick a cheap wedding dresses, they had to choose something the store had in stock.

Rivera said Jill wanted something that was vintage, but not lacy, and she wanted a tailored fit.

Rivera knew of the time constraints that they would be under with the dress, so she arranged for her personal seamstress from South Carolina to be there to assist.

The Allure  Romance dress Jill chose is an A-line gown that originally had a sweetheart neckline and lace appliqués. It has Swarovski crystals and pearls and satin ruching at the waist, with a chapel-length train.

The seamstress added cap sleeves and added fabric to the neckline to make it less revealing.

Rivera said that originally, Jill didn’t want lace, but she encouraged her to try on several different style dresses in different fabrics.

She couldn’t reveal which family members came with Jill, but she said they were very supportive and gave her lots of positive input.

“They could give lessons to a lot of families. They had opinions, but they waited until she shared,” Rivera said. “I appreciated that—I’m the cheerleader for the bride’s opinion.”

Getting a dress ready in two months is a quick turnaround in the bridal gown business because of all the alterations usually required.

Most brides begin dress shopping about nine months in advance to allow time for alterations.

Rivera attended the wedding in Arkansas last weekend and described it as intimate despite the more than 1,000 people in attendance.

“Jill and Derick are very genuine. They’re not flashy or showy,” Rivera said. “They’re not put-on. They truly love God and each other and are full of gratitude for everything they have for each other.”
